For this assignment I was tasked with designing a vehicle and its driver. I am apprehensive about this project as I am not used to drawing vehicles and I am at a loss on where to begin.
Initially I was thinking of connecting this project to the previous assignment which had me designing a character with weapons and armour, as that would give me a strong basis on how to make the design look; that said I was looking at designing a motorcycle as that would be the most suitable mode of transport for the biker thug that I had designed.
After a short period of not being able to design the motorbike that I wanted I decided to move onto something different; this being a roller vehicle, similar to that of the recent Men in Black 3 film and also that of General Grievous' attack cycle.
After a short process of elimination of various parts of the vehicle I was able to come up with the final design (below), this encompassed everything that I liked from the designs. This assignment was more tasking than that of previous assignments as it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I think that I produced a sufficient piece of work.
This is a simple design for the pilot, I didn't put as much thought into the pilot as the vehicle because the vehicle was definitely the main point of interest for this assignment.
